DAVID CONN TO SPEAK AT FANS' PARLIAMENT
We’re very pleased to announce this year’s keynote speaker: Guardian writer, author of The Beautiful Game? Searching the Soul of Football and former FSF Fans’ Writer of the Year, David Conn. David is well known to football supporters for his excellent investigative and challenging approach and has a long association with the FSF.
SIGN UP FOR YOUR BREAKOUT SESSION
This year’s event heralds the introduction of a new format designed to ensure maximum input from all supporters attending the event. Pertinent issues such as diversity, safe standing, club ownership and governance, ticket pricing and policing and stewarding will be debated in new, more intimate “breakout sessions”.
They’re aimed at ensuring everyone has their say on what matters most to them, you can sign up for one breakout group only split into morning and afternoon sessions. Morning sessions (11am-12.15pm) will entail analysis and debate of the relevant issues, whilst afternoon sessions (1.30pm-2.45pm) will be devoted to deciding what future action the FSF should take. Read more on breakout sessions here and register today.
SOCIAL EVENTS: PUB CRAWL, 5-A-SIDE, CITY TOURS AND THE PRESIDENT'S DINNER
Fans' Parliament is about more than debates and speakers though, ohhhh yes. We've got loads of fun and games lined up for the weekend (mostly including beer):
Friday evening - pub crawl (see where we'll be and when!) or President's Dinner (menu and booking here).
Saturday evening - Hacks versus Crocks, our ex-pros and journos quiz (free event - register here).
Sunday morning/afternoon - Free five-a-side tournament (book here) or Quayside Tour.
The majority of the events we have planned are free but they do require registration. This helps us make sure they run in a smooth and cost-effective manner. Click here for more info on our social events and please register if you plan on coming along!
